Beausejour Council 5870
Beausejour Council has a total membership of 106 Brother Knights. Our Council represents and supports the following parishes. Holy Ghost Ukrainian- Beausejour, St. Michael’s- Cooks Creek, Sacred Heart- Garson, John Paul II- Oakbank, Our Lady of Hope- Anola, and St. Mary- Beausejour. Sadly our Chaplin and Pastor Rev. Fr. Rene Chartier passed away suddenly last year that has left a great void for our parishes at St. Mary and Our Lady of Hope. Archbishop Albert LeGatt and various Pastors and Deacons have celebrated Mass with our parishes and we are very grateful for this. A newly appointed Pastor is expected to arrive at Easter. Our Council would like to express our thanks to Fr. John McKenzie, Fr. Josh Gundrum and Fr. Sylvanus Omali for celebrating Mass prior to our monthly General Meetings.
Our Council continues to assist our parishes and communities in many ways, financially, through moral support, and good works, ensuring the less fortunate receive the assistance they require.
Council has undertaken a number of initiatives this fraternal year with some examples are as follows.
- 50/50 Draw at Canadian Power Toboggan Champions, and Shades of the Past Car Show are major fund raising events with funds raised back to communities.
